(1) Light structure, small contact distance (10 kV, only 10 mm), quick action, light operation, small volume and light weight.

(2) The arcing time is short, because the contact is in vacuum, there is basically no arc, and the very small arc can be extinguished in half cycle (0.01 second), so it is called half cycle circuit breaker, and it has nothing to do with the current.

(3) The dielectric recovery speed of contact gap is fast.

(4) Long service life.

(5) The maintenance workload is small, and it can prevent fire and explosion.

At present, vacuum circuit breaker has been more and more widely used, especially for 10kV circuit breaker. However, special attention should be paid to the quality of vacuum circuit breaker.
